Mike Hayton
Mike is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a clinical practice exclusively devoted to hand, wrist and elbow surgery. He has an adult NHS base at Wrightington Hospital and a paediatric practice at the Royal Manchester Children's (Booth Hall) and Royal Liverpool Children's (Alder Hey) Hospitals.
He treats all aspects of hand, wrist and elbow disorders.
His special interest is sports medicine and is the hand surgeon to over 25 professional sports teams and national sporting bodies. He was recently nominated as a Founding Fellow in the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine UK (FFSEM).
Mike is a keen teacher and regularly lectures in the UK and Europe. Recently he has been invited to talk at the American Association for Hand Surgery in January 2009 . His research is regularly published in European and American Literature.
He consults privately at the Alexandra Hospital, Spire Cheshire Hospital (formerly BUPA North Cheshire) and Wrightington Hospital.
